"In the summer of 2007 we contacted Mr. Patrick Finn to inquire about selling our house in Lemon Grove, Calif. We planned on retiring in Colorado within a year or two, but had not yet purchased any property in Colorado. Even at this early stage, Mr. Finn immediately went to work for us, helping us estimate a fair market price for our home and informing us of every step of the process. We had never sold a house before and were very impressed with all the help we received.
Our timetable moved up quickly when we found an ideal house in Colorado that same summer, and closed the sale much faster than anticipated. We now faced more pressure to sell quickly in order to get moved into our new home as soon as possible. Unfortunately, the housing market was rapidly slumping, especially in California, with foreclosures at an all-time high. Communicating through phone and E-mail, he worked with us obtaining estimates and contracting for all the work to be done. He kept us informed of even the smallest details, even sending us pictures of the house when it went on the market.
We were pleasantly surprised at how quickly he obtained offers for our house and again appreciated all the help and advice we received throughout the selling process. In January 2008 we closed the sale on our house at a very fair price, given the depressed housing market at the time. Selling a home “long distance” in such a market is a formidable task.
